RNRL have been drawn at home to Hull based side Myton Warriors in the first round of the 2017 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup

The visit by the Warriors will be a tough test for the 'Brothers' as the Myton Club were promoted from NCL Div1 to the Premier League as a reward for finishing second behind Thatto Heath last season.

That said not many clubs would fancy the 250 miles plus trip down to the South coast to RNRL HQ at Burnaby Road to face a Brothers side who will be determined to progress to the second round draw.

It is mixed fortunes for the other two service sides with possibly the Army having the toughest draw travelling to Cumbria to face another NCL Premiership side in Egremont Rangers. The Rangers finished 9th of 12 clubs in the divison last season but will be no push over on their home patch. Finally the RAF will host York Acorn who will be in NCL Div 1 this year haveing being relegated from the Premiership last year.

The draw was made earlier this evening at the Deep in Hul with Lee Radford head coach of reigning Challenge Cup champions Hull FC coach drawing the home clubs whilst RFL and GBAF President Air Comodore Dean Andrew drawing the away clubs.
